he economic landscape changes dramatically. The world becomes the scene of a struggle between slogans of the old economical thinking and the omnipresent global economy. The old world that was put into political and national subunits will become history. When you take a world map in your hand and see all the different nations with different colours and their visual distinguished borders the term global economy will sound strange. However, when you give up that kind of old-fashioned way of thinking you will realize the great chances and potential of a global commerce and economy without restrictions and boundaries. Everyone has to develop a new conscience of the unity and interdependence of global trade. A successfully established global economy will guarantee prosperity and security for all global citizens.

Nations always tried to protect their own economy and their state-owned companies.
Competition was prevented and imports were heavyily taxed. Europe had to go through two devastating world wars to realize that nationalism was the main reason for these two wars and that the model of a national based economy reached a dead end. The founding fathers of the European Union ( EU ) were determined to destroy the nation-states that had dominated European politics and economy for centuries. They shared a strong vision of a competitive and collective economy that allows free trade and equal general conditions for all companies and citizens. As a result the Euro
was introduced to establish a monetary union. This presented an important step towards barrier free trade. Europeans now had the chance to compare the price of goods and services of each region. Today the EU enjoys economic vitality and new nations stand in line to become members to take part in the unions success.

The U.S. Goverment realizes that new strategies have to be developed and that a new alliance has to come into being in order to guarantee economic well being for its citizens. China has become a fast growing economic power that challenges the U.S. Economy. Experts expect China to catch up with the U.S. Economy by 2010. The U.S. Government takes that challenge as a chance to open up the U.S. Market and prepare their companies and citizens for the requirements of a global market. The government representatives from the U.S.A, Mexico and Canada met in 2005 to form a partnership that will open the doors to a new regional marketplace. Behind the scenes different official task forces prepare treaties to push toward a North American Union and transcend national sovereignty. Also academics are discussing the need to create an North American Monetary Union to prevent the possibility of a coming collapse of the U.S. Dollar. The successful model of the European Monetary Union will convince North American government officials in the long run.

A North American Union will compete with a European Union. Also regional economic powers like the Yangzi-Delta of China and mircro regions like the city of Dubai of the United Arab Emirates will play an important role on the global market. To take a long view all different economic powers of any size need a globally acting governmental supervision. Such a branch of world government will be implemented to enforce global economic law that will regulate commerce and will create equal conditions for the trade of goods and services. Also this way the chances of a commercial war between different economic powers will be removed and will guarantee economical upturn.

Innovations have a huge impact on the global economy. In the past an innovation like the
telephone that started a technical revolution came into being about every ten years. Now we experience such an important innovation about every year. The introduction of the computer for example, followed by the silicon revolution, changed the human work place forever. Complex tasks can be finished at a much faster rate. Manpower is more and more supported by computerised machines that decrease the number of industrial accidents and increase production. Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Intel, predicts that every year the chips performance will double and the cost of
production will be cut into half. The computer is already our every-day ally and it creates better working conditions for all of us.

The innovation that followed was the internet. In the 1990's many people underestimated the great capabilities of the internet. However, the internet became the ultimate global communication network. Regardless of size any company or individual can sell or buy a product, communicate and transfer information in real time. Within the next ten years a new global wireless internet will be introduced that will transfer about 100 times more information and it will be available all over the planet. It it will include television, radio and telephone in real time. It is estimated that about 80 percent of the whole knowledge on this planet will be available online. Almost all bank transactions will be over the internet due to the fact that banknotes and coins will vanish. E-mails will include multimedia, audio and video streaming. Video conferences will be held online in real time. Any global business that isn't represented online will not be able to compete even on the local level. The online commercial activity will be monitored by an governmental supervision like The Global Center for Online Commerce and Trade ( GCOCT ). Since the internet is accessible from any place on this planet it will be necessary to regulate the internet by a global binding law which will include a global tax that ends national and regional differences of taxation. There will be no legal loopholes for tax evasion anymore.

It will be necessary to find a global platform where new innovations will be patented,
presented, examined to their environmental friendliness and their contribution to the global community. Especially nanotechnology, biotechnology and neurotechnology will create many innovations that will create hundreds of thousands new jobs. Whole new industries will emerge and old industries will vanish. The ongoing development of the global economy will increase the need for energy that does not pollute our environment.

Fossil fuels not only pollute our environment and accelerate climate change, but their
natural resources will be exhausted in the near future. New kinds of energy sources have to be found to prevent a global energy crisis. These new energy sources have to be sufficient, reliable, renewable, clean, affordable and safe. The technical development and research of energy resources like hydrogen energy, nano energy and nuclear fusion are at a very early stage. The research of the private industry needs all the governmental backup to push research and get at least one of the new energy sources market-ready.

We are all looking into a bright future where every citizen on this planet will have his share of prosperity. Yet in order to profit from a global economy we first have to adopt a new conscience of the interdependence of global humanity. We need to push our representatives towards reforms that ease the way towards a New World Order that will bring peace and prosperity to all of us.

he internet is our main global highway for communication. It is fast, cost-effective and helps us to come together as never before. We need an equal solution for our global transportation of goods and people across our planet. We need a transportation system that guarantees a quick, clean, safe, reliable, energy saving and cost saving way of moving goods and people across our planet.

First steps are being taken. The U.S. Government plans to built a transportation system
to facilitate the integration of the American, Canadian and Mexican economies. Plans are being executed to construct different supranational highways stretching through all three countries to allow easy access and accelerate the forming of a North American Union.

Highway networks around the globe will be connected with each other and harmonised to increase mobility within each continent. Successful projects like the tunnels between
England and France go one step further and connect highway systems that are divided by the sea. All these steps are necessary to guarantee a better and faster transportation. These steps have to be accompanied with the successful development of the hydrogen combustion engine to guarantee affordable and environmentally compatible transportation by car, bus and truck.

Airline travel has become an economic necessity. There is still no competition for airplanes, when it comes to fast movement of goods and people on long distances.  However, the airplane has become a major factor in the pollution of our environment, because it releases the heat-trapping gases high in the atmosphere with even greater damage. Scientists are working on a new and fast global transportation solution for both passengers and goods that doesn't pollute our ecosystem.

There is one innovation that could be the answer to this problem. The Magnetic Levitation
( Maglev ) high speed train can revolutionize global transportation. It moves people and freight at a much greater volume, at a higher speed, lower cost and using less energy compared to other kinds of transportation like trucks, ships or airplanes. A Maglev guideway can transport ten thousands of passengers per day along with thousands of tons of freight. The operating costs are estimated at 1 european cent per passenger kilometer and 2,5 cents per ton kilometer compared to 4,5 cents per passenger kilometer in airplanes and 10 cents per ton kilometer in intercity trucks. The Maglev
vehicle will have a lifetime of about 50 years or more with minimal maintenance. It can operate in the open air or in underground low-pressure tunnels. Yet the underground solution is faster and more environmental friendly. Passengers will travel in these tunnels with the Maglev from the west coast to the east coast in the U.S.A in about 1 hour. Travel time in intercontinental tunnels between Tokyo and London will be less that 3 hours. All regions and continents could be connected without harming the terrestrial ecology. The average consumption of the Maglev in the tunnel will be the equivalent of over 1,500 kilometers per liter of gasoline. The Maglev also has major safety advantages over highway vehicles, trains and airplanes. The distance between Maglev and their speed are automatically controlled and maintained by the frequency of the electric power fed to the guideway. There is no possibility of collisions between vehicles on the guideway. Major developing programs are put into reality in Japan and China. Germany also pushes towards construction and just decided to built one in Munich. There are more innovative kinds of transportation but none can compare to the Maglev in terms of speed, energy consumption and volume.

It is necessary to guarantee security to all passengers on this planet. The shadows of
the 9/11 tragedy are still felt. Sky marshalls and the intensification of controls of inbound and outbound tourism has created some safer conditions. However, there is still a need for far reaching security measures, that need to be implemented. A global harmonisation of modern tourism is essential to guarantee secure travel for all global citizens. Passports should have the same security features around the world. All identification documents should include an embedded RFID  ( Radio Frequency Identification ) chip that carries all the sensitive information of the person. This way suspects can be detected at a much faster rate and law- abiding travellers don't have to be bothered. Passports should also include fingerprints and biometrical information. Terrorists and criminals that are convicted of a crime and found guilty by a court should not be allowed to travel at all. A global online network needs to be
established that transfers the information of every human being that travels in real time to support the police forces.

Global transportation is essential to guarantee the future of our global community. World trade can only flourish when a fast and reliable transportation system for goods is implemented. Experts and scientist of all fields need to work closely together to make that happen. They will need all the industrial and governmental support they can get in order to build a global transportation network.
